The Beano on TV this Friday


News direct from The Beano office (posted on the Comics UK forum):

"On this Friday's episode of The One Show, twinkletoed TV presenter John Sergeant visits the Beano Office to kickstart both the celebrations of Dennis's 60th anniversary and of coverage of Comic Relief.
We've had a great day with the folks from the Beeb today. Dennis has been filmed menacing various members of staff. Don't miss it. Friday 4th on BBC1 at 7 o'clock."

    I wonder if the Beano segment will be available to view online on the Beeb's website after the broadcast. Probably will

    Dennis's American counterpart is also celebrating his 60th birthday... Hank Ketcham's creation first appeared in U.S. papers the same week the Beano's Dennis made his debut.

    I'm terrible at watching TV when I'm meant to, but I must try to catch that this evening. It'll be interesting to see what they've got planned for Dennis's 60th.
