The Surfer later became the lead strip in Marvel UK's The Superheroes weekly in 1975 although that was relatively short lived. Next month, on July 2nd, the Silver Surfer's more recent adventures will start appearing in Panini UK's The Mighty World of Marvel. These strips by Dan Slott and Michael Allred have been highly acclaimed by fans for taking a quirky new spin on the character. The 76 page issue will also feature Daredevil and part four of Original Sin.
However, if you want to follow the stories I'd advise you to pick up The Mighty World of Marvel No.13, which is in the shops now. It's a perfect 'jumping on point'. With 100 pages at no extra price, it contains the first three parts of Original Sin (Who killed The Watcher?) and the start of a new direction for Daredevil now that he's revealed his true identity to the world.
You'll find the comic racked alongside SFX, Doctor Who Magazine and other genre mags in WH Smith and selected newsagents.

I'm clearly so out of the loop it's unbelievable. I thought Titan now held the license for Marvel reprint stuff. I guess it's switched back to Panini, huh?

Good to hear from you. Titan have never had the Marvel license but they do publish a few DC reprint comics. Panini UK gained the license when Marvel UK closed 20 years ago and have been publishing regular British Marvel comics ever since.
Yep, see you in Sheffield! I'll be at a few other Showmasters events this summer so perhaps see you at some of those as well?
The current issue of Panini's MARVEL LEGENDS (issue 9 of this run) reprints the first installment of The Secret Origin of Tony Stark (Prelude) starring... Death's Head!
Although no mention on the cover so easy to miss.

I like Marvel Legends. It reminds me a bit of 1960s comic Fantastic in its content.
Staz must've confused Marvel with either DC (which switched to Titan a few years ago) or Doctor Who (which since last year both Titan and Panini do now).
Speaking of Doctor Who, I hear that this latest Silver Surfer run is something like that. His relationship with his new sidekick Dawn sounds a lot like a typical Who companion.
Odd, I don't know where I got that idea from then... but I was convinced it was Titan who now held the Marvel license.
I'm not sure if I'll be at any showmasters events other than Sheffield yet, time will tell :-)
Yeah, as James said, several years ago Panini were in the strange position of publishing a Batman comic as well as several Marvel titles but then Titan won the DC license from them. Perhaps that's what you were thinking of?
There was also a rumour at the time that Disney were stopping Panini from doing Marvel comics altogether but that was completely unfounded. It was because Disney had stopped Panini doing originated Marvel material and fan speculation wrongly assumed they'd lost the rights to doing reprints as well.
James, yes, Silver Surfer writer Dan Slott is a big fan of Doctor Who so I'm sure that accounts for any Who-like aspects in his Surfer scripts.
