Future Publishing's quarterly Comic Heroes magazine has a brand new issue out today, with 148 packed pages of news, reviews, and features. Admittedly the emphasis is on American comics but there's a fair few items about modern UK comics and creators too.
There's a feature on Electricomics, the great new digital comics venture from Leah Moore, Alan Moore, and others.
There's a lengthy interview with Dave McKean on his remarkable work.
And there are interviews with artist Emma Vieceli, writer Simon Spurrier, 2000AD editor Matt Smith, and much more. Plus a brand new comic strip, Ka-Punch! by The Beano's Marc Jackson makes its debut with a two page story.
Tons of features and artwork in this issue. A must for anyone interested in the world of comics. Comic Heroes No.26 is available from today, in WH Smith and all good newsagents and comic shops for £7.99
I have not bothered with Comic Heroes for years. Does it really have much on British comics? Are its readers really interested? I visit your blog just to read about British comics: I wonder how many of your visitors do so too.
ReplyDeleteAs I said, the emphasis is on American comics but it does feature articles about UK comics and creators too. Also, it's a British comics magazine by UK writers so it's well worth covering here I think.
