"Why don't they do a collection of...?"

We've often seen the comments online, and perhaps made similar suggestions ourselves, about which classic British comics deserve to be collected into book form. Unfortunately there are various obstacles and reasons why it's not that straightforward and, on his blog today, experienced editor and writer John Freeman has outlined those reasons in an excellent article.
