With perfect comedy timing, here's the cover of The Beano that goes on sale on the same day that our new unelected Prime Minister takes over. Artwork by Nigel Parkinson.
Inside the 36 page full-colour issue we see the return of Steve Bright on Bananaman, a very funny Mum Bingo game by Nigel Auchterlounie, and another Pup Parade page by me, plus Roger the Dodger, Minnie the Minx, The Bash Street Kids, and loads of other fun pages of course!
That's The Beano No.3843, on sale Wednesday 13th July, just £2.50.

What was on the cover of the Beano when Gordon Brown became our unelected prime minister? He was going to call an early election but then did not because he was still reading the Beano.
ReplyDeleteWe must stop treating Prime Ministers like they were presidents - British Prime Ministers don't have "terms" and they don't need a "mandate". I wouldn't vote Tory if they were the last party on Earth but I'd rather have Theresa May than what we nearly got - Boris Johnson, Michael Gove or Andrea Leadsom. And surely the last thing Labour needs at the moment is a general election with unelectable Corbyn at the helm. But just wait till all those Brexit voters don't get the massive drop in immigration they were promised - I don't envy PM Theresa trying to explain that away.
