Hi Lew
ReplyDeleteCompletely off topic but I thought might be of interest to you. I recently subscribed to the Washington Post online, it's very cheap for us in the U.K., and they have an amazing app where you can read the paper on your tablet. Anyway at the end of the paper are the cartoons. There must be about 20 of them. If you ever enjoyed the Far Side there's several in a similar vein. Loads and loads of humour ones like, surprisingly, Andy Capp and Hagar the Horrible. Prince Valiant on Sundays. I have just had so much fun reading today's I thought I would bring it to your attention. The cartoons are easily worth the cost of the sub. I hope you give it a try and I would be interested in your comments.
Finally I would like to thank you. I have had so much pleasure reading your site since I found it about 3 or 4 years ago. I grew up in the 60's and read Beano/Dandy etc then onto Lion/Valiant etc and into British Marvel, then US editions of Marvel. I have a big collection but tend to buy now digitally (or rent ,I suppose that should be). I find modern DC and Image more interesting generally than Marvel.
I will never lose my interest in comics.
Thank you once again for such an amazing site
Regards
Gary Bell
Eoin Coveney has a Dave Gibbons mixed with Cliff Robinson vibe going on there. Very nice black and white art.
