Comment through Facebook? Ugh.

I can't remember the last time I -wasn't- told that the price of a comic went up because of the cost of the paper. Hypothetically, the creators also have increased cost of living. Well, actually. But does it matter?... However - paper and printing are more expensive but they're also a lot better quality. The old days of printing monochrome comics pages in between runs of newspapers - which have problems of their own these days - meant inky fingers for readers. You couldn't even count on paper being white...

Actually, the page rates in British comics have been frozen for years so we're not responsible for the rise in cover prices. It really is down to printing and distribution, and retail charges.
