Marvel Entertainment have given us our first look at Michelle Pfeiffer as Janet Van Dyne, the original Wasp, as portrayed in this summer's Ant-Man and the Wasp movie. I thought I'd share it here. You're welcome.
The Janet Van Dyne version of the Wasp has been established in comics since 1962 so it's good to finally see her on screen! However, the titular Wasp of the movie refers to Janet's daughter, Hope, played by Evangeline Lily. If you recall from the first Ant-Man movie, Hope's mother had been lost in the microverse, so the sequel will see the heroes set out to find her. I've always liked the Wasp character in the comics and now we get two in one movie. I'm ok with that.
Ant-Man and the Wasp opens in the UK in August. Here's the other promo images...

There was also two Ant-Man and the Wasp comics released yesterday. A one-shot called Living Legends in which Scott and Janet team up, and the first issue of a mini-series in which Scott works with Hope's teenage comic book counterpart Nadia.
