Intermission
Sorry for the lack of any proper updates recently. I'm busy with lots of comics work on at present so I haven't had time to research and scan old comics. This blog will get back to normal soon though, when I've cleared this current pile of pages to draw. I'll also be selling more old artwork on eBay when I find time to sort some out.
In the meantime I'll still post short news items when time permits. I'll continue to update my other blog which focuses on my own work as that doesn't take up any time to research. (http://lewstringercomics.blogspot.co.uk/)

I don't know if posting a comment will still work now you've shut your blog but here's goes.
Lew good luck and good to hear your busy but aren't you worried you'll lose hits while the blog is closed down? I don't know how blogs work exactly but will it vanish completely if the blog company thinks it's obsolete? I'd hate to think of all your hard work going to waste if the blog is discontinued because of neglect.
Don't worry Tony. The blog isn't 'shut' and comments are still welcome on any post. It's simply that I'm not updating the blog as often with items that require research. Blogger won't close it down because of reduced activity. Some blogs aren't updated for months and they're still active.
I don't worry about losing hits. This is just a hobby so the number of visits the blog gets isn't really important to me. Every post gets at least double figures and people discover old posts years later so the hits keep increasing, but running this blog is just a hobby and not one I'll continue indefinitely.
Please never stop because Wacky Comics blog has shut now and we need more blogs. Ok I know you guys are all rivals but I read several blogs and I like them as equals.
I think it'd be a strange blogger indeed who thought of other blogs as "rivals". It's not like hits bring us income, or we're fighting for space on the shelves. A comics blog is just a convenient way to showcase stuff and talk about it. There's room for all, I'd have thought.
Thanks for your comments though Tony. I don't recall you posting here before, so which titles of old comics would you like to see me cover in future?
We're rooting for you Lew! Let's hope all these new projects you have on the go help you clear your debts. There's nothing worse than having to rely on benefits and family for handouts believe you me. Go for it!
Thanks, although you're making a few presumptions there. I'm not in debt and never have been. Not that there's any shame in it but I just want to make that clear.
I'm hoping things continue to pick up so thanks for your support. As I've mentioned in the past, all the family I had have passed away so, yeah, if things go belly up that's it for me I'm afraid.
As for benefits, I don't know if the self-employed are even eligible. Last time I was on benefits, briefly, was in the early 1980s before I became self-employed.
So... I'd better get back to the drawing board hadn't I? :)
