The next event I'll be attending will be ICE, the International Comic Expo on Saturday August 2nd in the centre of Birmingham. So far other confirmed guests for this one day event are Roland Boschi, Jordie Bellaire, John Paul Bove, Mike Collins, Al Davison, Rufus Dayglo, Ian Edginton, Hunt Emerson, Yishan Li, David Lloyd, Jessica Martin, Ben Oliver, David Roach, Steve Rude, Declan Shalvey, Bryan Talbot, Dylan Teague, Emma Vieceli and Phil Winslade.
Dubbed as 'Britain's Coolest Comic Convention' it looks set to be more comics-focused than the big shows of late and is priced at an extremely reasonable £5 per person in advance or £10 on the door. More info:

In fact it's an event that is so cool that it has a sister event in the same venue. Comics Uncovered is an event for people who are interested in working in comics, and will feature master classes, workshops, portfolio reviews etc by top established comic pros such as James Hodgkins, Ian Edginton, Steve Rude, and Marie Javins. Entry for this all-day event (10.30AM to 11.00PM) is £65 and a ticket for Comics Uncovered gives delegates free entry to ICE.
