Latest sale of original artwork

Here's an unusual item from my art archive. Back in 1991 one of the several strips I drew for The Viz Pathetic Sharks Bumper Special was the Albert O'Balsam and his Magic Hat strip above. The script was by Chris Donald, and I drew it based on layouts from an earlier unpublished version by Roger Langridge.

I've put the complete two page strip on eBay this week, along with another item, a Vampire Brats page from Buster from around the same year. If you're interested you'll find them by clicking here: Buy my stuff please!

Bidding ends on Sunday 12th April. All bids very much appreciated!

Auction Man

I'm a bit too busy to research and blog about old comics at present, but I hope to do so sometime this weekend. In the meantime, here's a quick plug for the items I have for on eBay this week. Auction ends on Sunday afternoon/early evening for most...

My early fanzines, Metamorph Nos.1 and 2 sold as one item. Very rare (I only printed 150 of each), featuring exclusive art by Mike McMahon, Dave Gibbons, Brian Bolland, Graham Bleathman, plus an interview with Chris Claremont and Steve Englehart (together), and the second and third Brickman strips! (Back when he was called Brick-Person.) Plus other features. Unread. Near-Mint.

Fantasy Express No.4, featuring an exclusive cover by Joe Colquhoun and the only interview ever published with him inside. Plus an exclusive Kev O'Neill back cover.

A page of Vampire Brats original artwork from Buster...

The pencil rough of a Cartoon Network ad I did several years ago.

Plus a couple of other bits that used to belong to my late mum.

Here's my eBay page if you're interested in bidding. All bids much appreciated. Good luck!

Tom Thug in pencil stage

The sale of some of my original artwork on eBay went well last weekend so I've put a few more pages up for auction this week if any of you are interested. You'll find them by clicking this link.

This time it's something more unusual, - three of my pages from Buster in the initial pencil stage, uninked, uncoloured, so you can see the basic construction of the strips.

These pages date from the late 1980s/early 1990s when I used to use a lightbox to ink the finished artwork on separate sheets of paper/board by tracing over these pencils.

The three pages are up for auction as one lot, containing two Tom Thug strips plus a Vampire Brats page. Bidding ends next Sunday, July 8th.
