Whether you're a fan of comics history or you just want a good laugh, you can't go wrong in buying the two books of classic Ken Reid strips recently published by Irmantas Povilaika. These two superbly crafted hardbacks are simply the best collections of classic comics I've seen this year.
This is Ken Reid at his peak, unleashed and enjoying his time on the Odhams comics of the 1960s. The funniest comics of the decade.

My Power Pack arrived this morning, it looks absolutely brilliant. Highly recommend it to anyone with an interest in vintage British humour comics or cracking comic art.
Seems that quite a few have received their slipcased set today. Good stuff!
yep, mine turned up today too, as he said they would ^_^ great estimate and fantastic quality.
Got mine this morning too. A fine start to the bank holiday weekend.
Lovely production values. Reid was a genius so we knew the actual strip content would be great regardless of the printing but the restoration and presentation here is top-notch.
More than that, I was impressed by the sheer professionalism at every stage of the project. I'm a charitable soul so I always give crowd funded projects the benefit of the doubt and assume delays are inevitable - but Irmantas hit all the marks and kept everyone informed at every key point and gateway. Just brilliant.
Strange to think that much of this has been effectively 'lost' since I read it as a child all those years ago. Hopefully this will find it a wider modern audience or at least preserve the body of work for future generations.
Yes, a superb job worthy of the material. Simply the best!
Tony, this was my first project of the kind and although I had no previous crowdfunding and/or publishing experience to speak of, I work in the service sector and never take on a project unless I am sure I can deliver the best result. I am a massive Ken Reid fan and this adventure was a very exciting and pleasing one for me at every stage. All the positive feedback and unreserved support I’ve been getting from fellow fans over the recent months has been a great inspiration and encouragement, so thanks for your kind words here :)
